The Board of Trustees of Urban Outreach, Inc., is excited to welcome Holly Thompson to join our staff as Executive Director.

Holly received her Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard University and she brings a strong background in financial management and consulting. She is an active member of Tallowood Baptist Church where she is a Preschool Sunday School teacher.

Before joining the Urban Outreach, Inc., Board of Trustees in 2016, she served on the Board of Directors for K9s4cops.

“Building strong community in Houston and partnering with educators and families to provide enriching opportunities for youth to grow into persons of strong character is a meaningful challenge for our community and world,” said Board Chairman Sidney Smith, Jr. “Her deep faith, strong financial background, strategic approach and comprehensive understanding of education make Holly a perfect fit.  We are excited to have Holly lead us into a new season of impact in Houston.”

URBAN OUTREACH, INC., invests in the growth and development of at-risk youth and their families by providing quality after school and summer enrichment programs in a Christian environment.

Holly enjoys nothing more than spending time with her son, Brett, whom she refers to as “the physicist”.  If they are not trying out a new restaurant, they are often visiting one of their favorite destinations – the Houston Zoo.   Holly also loves snuggling up with her best companion, a Yorkie, Lacey.

“ Houston is one of the most welcoming and generous cities in the US.  I am honored to join with Urban Outreach, Inc., to continue to create and go deeper with impactful ministries that transform and open up opportunities for all of Houston’s youth.  There is no greater work than loving and growing our children to reach their God-given potential.”

Holly Thompson will begin her position August 1, 2017.
