Afterschool Program
UOI offers a safe and productive environment for children after school lets out, when many parents are still at work. This can reduce childcare expenses for families.
Academic Success
UOI’s Homework Help program reduces the stress of homework for parents and children. Our Readers-to-Leaders program and other academic enrichment opportunities help children experience success in school.
Family Events
Residents enjoy events for the whole family such as Back-to-School Nights, holiday programs, and other special activities throughout the year. Families have the opportunity to meet their neighbors and socialize.
Opportunities for Adults
UOI offers meaningful learning opportunities for adults through our Family Enrichment Program and our Expanded Programs. We can provide ESL, computer training, art, GED, and other classes for residents onsite, making them easily accessible and convenient.
Healthier, Safer Communities
Residents actively engage in opportunites to learn and grow with one another, and they build a true community. Neighbors get to know each other and create a safer, healthier, and more welcoming environment for everyone.
How it Works
When you partner with Urban Outreach, Inc., you are truly partnering with an experienced 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to working with you to build thriving communities that strengthen families and improve the lives of residents. We have over 25 years of experience in building successful programs and enriching apartment communities. We love what we do and we do it well.
The foundation of our program is the Kids Club, which operates 5 days a week onsite in your community. Each Kids Club has a dedicated space to meet provided by apartment management. This can be clubhouse space or an unused apartment, depending on the needs and availabilty in your community. We currently have successful programs operating in either space; both can work well.
