Collected Information

Urban Outreach, Inc. seeks to provide a safe and secure way to donate to our organization. Urban Outreach, Inc. NEVER retains any credit card information, bank information, or other financial data from the donor. UOI only retains a copy of donation checks for financial purposes.

Urban Outreach, Inc. only documents a donor’s name, address, phone number, company name, and donation amount. Donor names may be publicly recorded in the UOI Annual Report and other documents (UOI does not publish any other information). However, donation dollar amounts are NEVER published unless granted with special permission by the donor. If anonymity is selected, UOI will not retain ANY donor information. If a donor wants their name to be removed from publication or make a correction/update to their information, they can do so through our Contact Form.

Anonymity

As previously stated, donation amounts are NEVER published unless under special permission by the donor. If a donor wishes to remain anonymous, UOI will not retain ANY donor information. UOI documents their data as an anonymous donor in all records. All donor data is handled by a secure computer system and anonymous donor data cannot be accessed by employees. If wishing to remain anonymous, one must select “YES” under the “Keep Anonymous” selection box in the Donation Form section of our website when donation. If this is selected, UOI will NOT retain ANY information about the donor.

Security

All personal financial data is securely stored by PayPal. Urban Outreach, Inc. cannot access any donor’s financial information. Only a donor’s name, address, phone number, company name, and donation amount are locally stored in UOI’s servers. The UOI computer systems are located in a safe and secure office facility. Only a few trusted employees have access to the donor records. Copies of donation checks are also stored in a locked file located in a safe and secure office facility as well.

Please let us know if you have items to donate.  We work with families across Houston and we are grateful when you consider UOI.  Items can be dropped off at our administrative office during regular business hours, 9am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.  Other arrangements can also be made, if helpful.

UOI is a 501c3 organization.  Monetary donations, as well as donations of items, are 100% tax deductible.
