APARTMENT COMMUNITY PROGRAM
Through the Apartment Community Program (ACP), UOI operates after-school Kids Clubs in 20 apartment communities across the Greater Houston area. UOI is one of a few organizations who are successful in leading apartment community programs. One reason for our success is leadership.
UOI trains and supports a volunteer leader for each apartment community. This leader lives in the community and builds relationships with the apartment community management and resident families. Because each community is unique, relationships are key to supporting the needs of the families.

Expansion Programs are offered for children and adults. Our children’s expansion program focuses on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and includes robotics, dance, painting, and music. Adults have the opportunity to take classes in dance, computers, GED preparation, ESL, nutrition, and more. All classes are offered on site at the Apartment Communities.
